The Foundation of the Flexographic Technical Association’s 2011 Annual Forum and INFO*FLEX Exhibition (May 2-3; Indiana Convention Center, Indianapolis, IN) lived up to its billing as the year’s number-one packaging/ printing/converting networking event in North America with a sold-out exhibition floor and more than 1,600 attendees. CRI exhibited with new samples from a variety of industry specialty applications, including LabelCure, ProFector Plus and Newtrol® DGF systems.
CRI Technical Specialists were on hand at INFO*FLEX for consultation; their skill sets include pre-press, machinery, substrates, process control, color management and training to increase our customers’ profitability. CRI’s key communication at the show was: At CRI, we make it our business to understand our customers’ goals and process capabilities and tailor our formulas to fit their needs. We visit our clients’ production facilities, roll up our sleeves, and get to work.
CRI’s James Ford, Senior Chemist in CRI’s Fairfield, OH Product Development Lab, was also a presenter in the ‘Inks & Substrates’ Session at the Forum. James offered up ideas for using color measurement instruments that will help performance and color management. He reviewed the various properties along with the advantages and disadvantages of various instruments available to the industry.
