April 6 & 7, 2010, by invitation only, CRI met the stringent FTC guidelines required by Walmart Stores, Inc. to exhibit at the Walmart and Sam’s Club 5th Annual Sustainable Packaging Expo in Rogers, Arkansas.
Walmart Stores, Inc. is a global leader in sustainability initiatives. The Expo is designed to provide Walmart merchants, suppliers and associates an opportunity to meet with packaging and product suppliers to gain first-hand knowledge about sustainable innovations in packaging and how those suppliers can help them achieve their sustainability goals.
CRI Earthflex and Hydro Soy inks were featured at the CRI booth at the Expo. Both inks were 3rd party reviewed and accepted under precise guidelines to sustainability claims. CRI Earthflex inks are manufactured not only with water, but also with the highest level of plant-based polymers, which greatly reduce the amount of petroleum-based products commonly found in conventional ink formulations for packaging, and with no added heavy metals.
Many thanks to Minnesota Corrugated Box for providing our ‘Success Story’, showing their achieved results of reducing their carbon footprint by using CRI Earthflex ink.
CRI also documented and distributed our corporate achievements toward the 7 R’s of Sustainability Claims; Remove, Reduce, Reuse, Renew, Recycle, Revenue and Read.

Dave Barker, CRI’s Vice President of Business Development, attended the Walmart 5th Annual Sustainable Package Expo.
