SPx™ High Performance Ink

SPx™  High Performance Ink is a new series of water-based, flexographic ink, which has unique chemistry specifically formulated to meet the challenges of producing high quality corrugated printing. Printers seeking to achieve the highest quality possible on corrugated substrates require the level of performance that the SPx™  line offers. SPx™  is press specific in order to optimize its performance on your press configuration. For this reason SPx™  is available in two distinct systems:

The V series inks are formulated with a unique vehicle system designed for optimum performance on presses with anilox of 400 - 600 lines per inch and vacuum transfer handling systems. V series is tailored for process and fine line screen-printing. V series offers superior solubility, stability and is targeted for use on high holdout and coated liner stock.

The DGF series is the fastest drying formulation within the SPx™ series. This system is formulated to perform well on presses with in-line die-cutting using anilox rolls ranging from 180 to 360 lines per inch. DGF is designed for coated to Kraft, yields a good gloss finish and is suitable for single blade and roll-to-roll wiping systems. DGF remains stable and soluble on press while exhibiting the desirabe characteristic of fast setting for use with in-line converting. Key features include:

  • Excellent resolubility
  • Ability to dry properly on high holdout substrates
  • High transparency and gloss

Color Resolutions International (CRI) formulates ink systems using unique, proprietary chemistry that is both environmentally and application friendly.  Each system has been designed with specific press configurations and substrates in mind.   However, CRI will custom formulate, upon request, inks to meet almost any set of performance criteria.  Please consult with your CRI Technical Sales/ Service Representative to assist you in choosing the proper ink system for your application.
