Hydro Soy aqueous flexographic inks allow printers to use the soy oil and soy protein certification mark (the “SoySeal”) on product packages, containers, or other materials, thereby providing ready recognition that the ink used contains soybean products. These inks have been specifically formulated to meet the standards set by the American Soybean Association (ASA) for water based flexographic printing inks.
Hydro Soy inks run on most conventional and vacuum transfer presses, offering much cleaner anilox roll (less change out) and excellent heat resistance. They produce superior graphic reproduction at high press speeds on corrugated stocks, particularly mottled or bleached substrates. Special matches are custom formulated for specific press configurations and substrates. These high strength inks can be applied in thin films for sharp clean prints quickly. They can be matched to GCMI colors and are also available in Pantone and specialty colors.
Typically, the inks run on roll to roll, bladed, and chambered systems using anilox screens ranging from 200 to 400 line counts and volumes (BCM) of 5.0 to 9. The inks clean up easily and will not plug anilox screens or dry hard on plates.
