Hydro Kup PE aqueous flexographic inks are designed for printing on treated polyethylene-coated board used in the production of cups and tubs. They are formulated to run in a wide range of press speeds and on equipment with anilox, plate, rubber roll, and reverse angle doctor blade configurations. Hydro Kup PE possess excellent adhesion to polycoated board at 38-44 dyne treatment levels, exhibit good water resistance, print clean and sharp, dry fast and allow for matching of strong intense colors. They are also available in gold and silver metallic formulations. The inks are suitable for in-plant blending, clean up easily with water and will not plug anilox screen rolls or dry hard on plates if cleaned immediately. They are also suited for printing on paperboard. Important performance features include:
